I see you.
You’ve been to doctors and specialists.
You’ve done the lab work.
You’ve had the imaging tests.
You’ve tried the prescription medications & procedures.
And, yet… true healing remains elusive.
Or, you’ve been told that healing isn’t possible —
but your heart says otherwise.
You’re in the right place.
I’m Dr. Capella
I have over 15 years of experience as a physician.
I’ve dedicated my life to helping people heal — body, mind, and soul.
My journey as an integrative physician started with myself: experiencing the stress, sleep deprivation, and unhealthy habits of rigorous medical training and professional life. It began to take a toll on my physical body, my emotional well-being, and even my spirit.
I knew — from my education and experience with thousands of patients — that modern medicine had its limits.
So I went in search of more. A more expansive and holistic approach. One that acknowledges human beings not just as physical bodies, but as emotional and energetic beings.
Piece by piece, I found a better way. An approach that integrates modern medicine with age-old healing modalities.
I found healing for myself. And, now, I want to help YOU discover that deep, lasting, inner healing for yourself.
My Approach
I combine my expertise as a physician with experience in mind-body modalities (like tapping and hypnosis), bodywork (including JFB myofascial release therapy), nutrition, herbs, and energy medicine to help you identify the patterns that are contributing to illness — and then help you overcome them.
Many physicians, psychologists, and health practitioners get stuck in the labels and protocols, treating every patient with a certain diagnosis with the same approach.
But everyone is different.
We all have different life experiences, traumas (big and small), and stories we have created around our experiences. Each of us is stuck in a different way — and we each need a different approach.
I will get to know you as the unique individual you are and use both my medical knowledge and intuition to get to the core of what ails you — quickly and effectively.
You simply have to be willing and ready: willing to open to a new way of seeing yourself and your health, and ready to learn new ways of overriding old patterns.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Prior to your appointment, Dr. Capella will send you an intake questionnaire to complete with your medical history, social history, and goals. She will review this prior to your first visit.
During your first 90-minute intake visit, she will discuss the big picture of your health and dig deeper to understand the contributing factors, what has been tried, and what your priorities are.
Starting at the first visit, she will offer therapy and treatments that align best with you, your body, and where you are in your healing journey. This could be anything from teaching you breathwork, guided imagery, EFT (tapping), recommending nutritional changes, herbs, or supplements, or offering a form of gentle massage called John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy.
She may also order labs or imaging studies if she feels something has been missed by prior clinicians. In some cases, she may prescribe short-term medication. (Additional costs for these may apply.)
No two sessions look exactly alike - because no two people or health problems are exactly alike.
-
Sessions are typically once a week on Tuesdays or Saturdays.
The first visit is 90 minutes and each additional visit is 60 minutes.
-
Most patients experience significant relief in symptoms after only 4-6 sessions, but more complete healing from any longstanding or complex condition can take many more sessions.
The speed of healing is often correlated with a person’s willingness to acknowledge and change subconscious patterns of belief and behavior, and this willingness varies from person to person. In general, the more you are open to believing in your own ability to heal, and the more changes you are willing to implement in your emotional patterns and life, the sooner you will see positive changes that ultimately lead to healing.
Keep in mind, healing is rarely a linear process. People can undergo an “healing crisis” during which symptoms temporarily worsen before they improve. If you are willing to move through that chaotic discomfort, you will emerge from the other end closer to your healing goal.
-
Over 90% of individuals who want to improve will improve.
Some conditions, however, are harder to treat than others. Some conditions technically have no cure but individuals can still experience symptomatic and psychological relief from treatment.
When it comes to certain terminal conditions like advanced cancer, sometimes healing looks different. It may be coming to a place of peace around your relationship to your self, your family, or loved ones, or attaining a more expansive view on your transition out of the physical realm.

Dr. Capella offers integrative care packages for adults (see details below), but she does not provide general primary care services for adults. She recommends having a primary care practitioner for routine needs, including acute illnesses and medication refills.
-
Dr. Capella is board certified in both general pediatrics & integrative medicine. While much of her work has been with children, her integrative medicine training was adult focused and she has been seeing adults on a case-by-case basis for many years.
Her unique clinical approach blends the best of both modern medicine and traditional healing modalities. After seeing great success in children with complex conditions using this blend of approaches, she has expanded her practice to help more adults suffering from complex and chronic conditions.
